Newport Divers

The Newport Aquarium in Northern Kentucky opened in May 1999 and has become one of the country’s most amazing marine attractions. You will travel the world through 16 galleries transporting you from humid tropical swamplands to the winter-white Antarctic.

Scuba Unlimited is the exclusive dive center of the Newport Aquarium. The Program consists of local divers who feed and maintain several exhibits. Divers dedicate a day or more a month to the health of a variety of species from the tiny Bumblebee Fish of the Mekong River in Thailand, to the spectacular and awesome Sand Tiger Shark of the Atlantic Ocean.

To become a volunteer you must be 18 years of age, Advanced Open Water certified, CPR trained and complete a written and buoyancy assessment. Please contact Jenny Greber, Volunteer Coordinator for the Newport Aquarium, to become an Educator or to be mailed a diver application. Call (859) 815-1441, email volunteer@newportaquarium.com or click here for an online application. Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed for the online application.
